She seemed so comfortable while posing along the rolling hills. Madison and I had styled a relaxed yet feminine set of outfits for her session. A palette of dusty rose, blues, creamy ivory and a vibrant aqua seemed to suit her warm summer glow. She easily ran barefoot through the thick grasses that made me wince in pain by just watching. In that sweet southern voice she turned and told me about visiting the farm nearly every day to care for her prize winning animals. I thought she was joking. No way could I picture this lovely little blonde romping around a barn full of animals. She laughed at my shocked face before it turned to a huge grin as I pictured the scenario. I love the unexpected and Madi, you certainly are that!

Alex was very matter of fact as we carried on a conversation about heath and medicine. I quickly realized the level of commitment and determination behind those deep blue eyes. His future plan is solid, well thought out and air tight. My opinion within minutes of meeting this Eureka Hornet is that he's on a path that is headed straight for success.

Caitlin is a quiet whirlwind of energy and creativity. Just like the rest of her family she specializes in gracefully juggling 20 different things at a time and doing it with ease that seems at times surreal. Clearly I'm envious.

I have the privilege every year to photograph some seriously talented students. Taylor and Shelby both seemed to overflow with energy and passion for their sport and I figured I would be hearing there names again soon. This year both of the girls are a second generation of ICC Cougar's Volleyball players. Its cool to see how family members truly shape the next generation and can inspire us all.

How unlikely to photograph the backside of the local market. Here of all places is where I found the background colors we needed and clean modern lines to fit Hayley's bold patterns. I'm not sure if her mom makes friends wherever she goes (I have a strong suspicion she does) but she/we spent 15 minutes chatting up the market employee's in between milk crates and giggles. Navigating loading pallets in wedge heels is more challenging then you'd imagine.
